Men's Elul Chavura is a 40-day program of Tehillim, D'var Torah, and Tzedaka from Rosh Chodesh Elul through Yom Kippur. This page says plainly what information we collect on this website, what we do with it, and how to stop our emails or have your details deleted. Short version: we collect only what is needed to run the program, we never sell it, and you can ask us to remove you at any time.

What we collect

When you register: first name, last name, Hebrew name, email address, phone number, where you reside (city/town, state, or country), whether you took part before, and whether you use WhatsApp.

When you take part: your daily Tehillim progress, your D'var Torah submissions (title, text, any images you upload, plus your name and an optional email), Community Board messages, and dedication requests for the homepage marquee.

When you write to us: the content of your message and the email address you send it from.

What we do with it

We use it to run the program: to send your daily Tehillim portion email, your D'var Torah and Tzedaka assignment notices, and reminders; to keep track of who has completed what; to review and approve submissions; and to answer your questions. We do not use it for anything else.

Who sees it

Our admin team, and a private spreadsheet the admin team keeps for the participant roster. Your first and last name, Hebrew name with parents' Hebrew names, and where you reside (city/town, state, or country), appear on the public Members page — that is part of the program, and it is there simply so other members can see how global our roster is. Only your name, Hebrew name with parents' Hebrew names, and residence appear there, never your email or phone number. D'var Torahs and Community Board messages you submit are shown on those pages only after an administrator approves them, under the name you give us.

We never sell your information

We do not sell, rent, or trade your personal information, and we do not share it with anyone outside of the Chavura, including advertisers or data brokers.

Dedication Payments

Donations and fees are processed by PayPal and Stripe. They handle the card details; we are told only that a payment was made, together with the name you gave with it. We never see or keep your card number.

Emails and how to stop them

Every email we send carries an unsubscribe link. You can stop just the daily Tehillim reminder, or ask to be taken off all Chavura emails. Being removed from email does not delete your record — for that, see the next section.

Deleting your information

Email MensElulChavura@gmail.com from the address you registered with and ask us to remove you. We will delete your name, contact details, and your submissions from our records and stop all emails to you. If something of yours was already published and approved — a D'var Torah, a board message, a dedication — tell us and we will take that down too.

Cookies and trackers

This site does not use advertising cookies or tracking pixels. The only cookie it sets is a small one in the admin area that remembers whether the side menu was left open.

Children

The program is for adults. We do not knowingly collect information from children.

Changes to this policy

If we change anything here we will update the date at the top of this page.
