Here is your step-by-step mission:
When you sign up, you will be assigned to a specific personalized "Tehillim Track." Your responsibility is to start on the portion of Tehillim corresponding to your Track #. Then you will continue progressing daily through the remainder of Tehillim portions until Yom Kippur.
You are responsible for sharing one D'var Torah with the group. It can be on any topic and any length - the goal is to share a thought that helps the rest of us grow. You can submit your D'var on the website or by email to MensElulChavura@gmail.com.
You will give Tzedaka one time during the program. You pick the amount and the cause.
Your D'var Torah and your Tzedaka are both due on the same specific day, which is determined by your assigned Tehillim Track.
This program relies on you. You have an individual responsibility to hit your marks; if you don't do your daily Tehillim, that day’s collective completion is affected.
Since we operate as a unit, the merits of one are shared by all. The entire Sefer Tehillim is completed collectively every single day, a new D'var Torah is shared and Tzedaka is given every single day. By Yom Kippur you will also have personally completed the entire Sefer Tehillim.
Absolutely! The Chavura welcomes Jewish men of all backgrounds. Ask questions and be supported through the whole journey.
The program runs for 40 days beginning on Rosh Chodesh Elul Alef (this year it will begin at sundown on Wednesday, August 12, 2026) and will continue through Yom Kippur (this year Yom Kippur will begin at sunset on Sunday, September 20, and concludes at nightfall on Monday, September 21).
Approximately 10 minutes to recite your daily Tehillim portion which changes each day. Reading d'var Torahs can be done at your leisure.
NO. Feel free to recite Tehillim in any language you are comfortable with. Do your best to understand what you are saying.
Personal choice. The program runs on Jewish time which is sunset to sunset, however use the time you need to complete your daily portion. Even if someone falls behind, ultimately do your best to complete all portions by Yom Kippur.
Every member is assigned a "Tehillim Track" for the program and will be provided with a custom schedule. Everyone starts reciting Tehillim on Rosh Chodesh Elul (Alef) beginning with the corresponding chapters listed next to their Track. He progresses each day to the next Track portion and continues to cycle through sefer Tehillim by Yom Kippur.
NO. You begin reciting Tehillim on Rosh Chodesh Elul Alef along with everyone else in the group. You begin from the portion listed next to your name, which is your Tehillim Track number and progress from there.
NO. You will say a different portion of Tehillim every day as shown on your Tehillim Track sheet. Each day you drop to the next daily portion of Tehillim. This way you will progress through entire sefer Tehillim by Yom Kippur.

Tzedaka is given by a new man each day. Everyone shares the merit of all the Tzedaka given. Your due date for Tzedaka corresponds to your due date for the D'var Torah. You will be informed before we begin your due date. We ask each man to inform everyone what cause he gives to.
